What is problem solving?
We break problem solving down into four core and two enabling skills.

Breaking complex problems into manageable parts

Identifying and using patterns to simplify and solve problems. Recognize patterns across problems.

Focusing on essential aspects of problems while filtering out irrelevant details. Generalizing and coming up with rules.

Designing step-by-step solutions to address various challenges. Identify key parts of the process.

Making their thinking visible verbally and visually

Working in groups and building on each other's ideas
How is our approach different?
In our learning labs, learners work in groups to solve engaging, real-world problems. They experiment with new ideas through scaffolded activities that spark creativity and build confidence. Learners make their thinking visible at every step to solidify understanding and share insights. Facilitators continuously challenge them to think creatively and embrace diverse perspectives.
